Mixer not worth it
I just received this mixer, I was expecting a new one, I got a refurbished one. It looks pretty, chrome and black finish, very striking. My primary reason for purchasing this item over others was to use it to make bread and cookies using the included dough hooks, along with all the other things that you would use a mixer for. Having the attachment for a blender was a plus when having friends over for parties and football games. But I digress.
My first batch of oatmeal cookies, clogged the dough hooks to the point that they stopped spinning. Now I find this to be very poor quality, 2 cups of oatmeal, 1 cup of flour, and the normal liquids should NOT stop the dough hooks from spinning. I cleaned the machine, bowl, hooks, etc and decided to give this thing another chance. My second batch of oatmeal cookies did the exact same thing. Inspecting the mixer, I noticed that the gear shaft from the main housing up to the arm that turns the hooks is nothing more than a bit of cheap...
