Great fan (so far).
I actually purchased this fan at Wal-Mart, they had an end-of-season sale and it was around a third of what it is here . . . normally Amazon is cheaper.
For the price I paid for it, it seems like a really great fan. It comes with a carrying bag, collapses to a MUCH smaller size than a normal stand fan, and is remote-controlled. It has some unusal features that I don't use, but I use it every night on the highest setting and so far it has been great. I like that the remote can be stored (with a magnet) directly into the fan as well so you don't lose it during storage.
I think that if you are looking for something light and ultra-portable, it is great. If I was going to buy a fan for a more or less permanent location, I would buy a sturdier fan which cost less.
Pro: No plastic smell, which is rare; Con: Flimsy, oscillation stopped while new
It has a rare and highly valuable feature: It doesn't smell like plastic or machine oil after being broken in. That is so rare and I so highly value that, so it is responsible for at least one of the three stars. However, it is flimsy. It stopped oscillating shortly after I operated it (within weeks). I would much rather they design a conventional fan with the same mechanical/plastic approach so that it is odourless. *That* would be worth lots, because it's impossible to find these days.
